A tree has a way of making or breaking your property. A beautiful tree can add value and beauty to your yard, enriching your landscape. A dead or dying tree, however, can be an eyesore, distracting guests from an otherwise stylish home. Still, it may be difficult to imagine your home without it but there comes a time when it must go. If a tree near to your home or business is old or decaying, you run the risk of it falling onto your structure, leading to dangerous and costly damages. |

A strong storm can damage a tree beyond restoration and in that case, it isn’t worth the risk. In other cases, large and complex root systems can affect the structural integrity of your home or business. Further, very large trees can obstruct the view from inside your house, conceal part of your home, or cast too much shade, preventing the growth of your lawn and other plants. An unhealthy tree should be removed as soon as possible - allow us to perform our tree services and avoid a hazardous situation.

Tree Removal Process
On the day of your scheduled appointment, a Sioux Falls representative will give you a call to confirm the time that our team will arrive. We will always commit to a two hour window, during which we will get there and begin your tree services.
The process begins with our foreman assigning each crew member to a specific job. After which, the tree cutting - a systematic dismembering of the tree, limb by limb - will begin. We will always remove one branch at a time, lowering the heaviest ones to the ground using ropes and pulleys, regardless of whether we are performing the job using heavy equipment or safety climbing harnesses. Once on the ground, the crew will safely and efficiently remove the tree, cutting the larger pieces into smaller portions and placing the smaller branches into the chipper. The process will continue until all that’s left is the trunk, which will then be portioned into smaller sections. In the end, the main trunk will be gone, leaving only a short stump. During the entirety of the tree removal, our ground crew will keep the work area clear of debris and follow strict safety protocols.
It is at this point that you can decide whether to leave the stump or have us grind the stump for you. If you choose to have it removed, we will do so by removing it as close as possible to the ground, leaving only a small sliver. By then, all wood from the tree will have been stacked in your location of choice or placed in an awaiting truck to be hauled away. Our ground crew will clean the area until there is no sign that any work was done - we promise to leave your property in better condition than we found it.
